JOB DESCRIPTION

4DL is seeking a Director of Programs. In this role, the Director of Programs will be in charge of driving strategy for programs, iterating on program models, ensuring the quality of our two flagship programs, setting the tone for participants’ learning environments, managing adjunct faculty, curriculum development, creating general efficiencies, and streamlining the administrative management of all programs 4DL operates.

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and have at least 5 years prior experience in a management or leadership position. Explicit program management experience desired. Master’s degree preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership

The Director of Programs leads the general management of 4DL’s programs. This role requires a candidate who demonstrates the abilities to actualize the organization’s vision, assess and evaluate the program’s quality, and foster a culture of inspired leadership among participants, faculty and partners. This role supervises and trains program faculty.

Program Management

As Director of Programs, program management is an integral part of this role. Candidates must demonstrate the abilities to design curriculum, ensuring that performance standards are of high quality and align with program outputs. Additionally, the Director of Programs manages program budgets, materials and databases. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to create efficiencies, project manage, and self-start.

BREAKDOWN OF DUTIES
  • Lead curriculum design and content management, incorporating equity concepts
  • Provide facilitation as necessary
  • Recruit, train, and supervise program faculty to meet quality standards
  • Manage program budget expenditures and plan program budgeting throughout fiscal year with Executive Director
  • Collaborate with Director of Partnerships to cultivate strong partner relationships
  • Collaborate with Development to influence program/org goals
  • Collect and analyze feedback data to refine and enhance program quality
  • Evaluate quality of data collection to ensure we are meeting program standards
  • Coordinate all aspects of program components (ex. coordinate logistics for food and class sessions; plan annual program calendar and events; maintain participant files; and maintain alumni engagement)
  • Oversee planning and execution of the “leadership journey,” an integral experience in which program participants are exposed to alternative school landscapes
  • Co-lead the recruitment and selection processes for 4DL programs
  • Collect and manage tuition payment system
  • Execute principal certification processing

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual with team management experience to grow and further develop a suite of well-reputed leadership development programs. The successful candidate will lead the strategy work around each of our programs, partner with the executive director to grow the business and work collaboratively with the 4DL team.

Specific requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in a program management role
  • Demonstrated success developing and evaluating program models
  • Strong project management skills with proven results of successes and program growth
  • Strength in recruiting, managing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for 4DL’s mission
  • Deep knowledge of equity concepts and commitment to advance equity in schools
  • Experience developing and implementing curriculum
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Ability to accept and act on critical feedback

Operations Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION

4DL is seeking an Operations Associate. In this role, you will provide daily assistance in support of general operations needs, and one or more programs for a non-profit organization. Schedule meetings and special events. Answer questions from the public. Assist in the development of promotional and informational program materials. Coordinate schedules and training. Responsibilities may include fundraising, budgeting, and community outreach for assigned program(s).

Successful candidates will have at least an Associate degree and 3 years of prior work experience in a role where they’ve experienced some successes and are able to identify areas for personal and professional growth.

BREAKDOWN OF DUTIES

  • Collect, maintain and analyze organization’s files and feedback data.
  • Manage tuition payment system.
  • Organize cohort-building and alumni engagement events.
  • Oversee planning and execution of the leadership journey and learning walks.
  • Participate in domestic and international programmatic events, which includes some nights and weekends. 
  • Coordinate with the Director of Programs to monitor and process all participants’ program completion requirements.
  • Prepare learning environments (ex. Secure participant learning materials, coordinate food and logistics for class sessions, send reminders about upcoming events).
  • Facilitate and manage 4DL’s annual calendar planning.
  • Co-lead the programs’ recruitment and selection processes, including participant referral program.
  • Support brand management (ex. Website, social media, development and partner communications, and swag orders).
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance, high morale, and top-notch customer service.
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
  • Support general operation needs for the 4DL team.
