4DL envisions school-level change, whereby both the enabling conditions for transformation and a cadre of transformation-ready leaders are cultivated on an ongoing basis.
We will have considered ourselves successful if schools led by leaders trained in our programs outperform, by increasingly wide margins, schools that share similar profiles but are not led by leaders we’ve trained. Our approach to training and development occurs in two primary ways:
- Lead For Delaware is a school leader training and certification program for aspiring leaders of high need schools
- Our Equity Practitioner Program is an innovative, equity-focused fellowship whereby participants are exposed to themselves and the broader issues that often have a stranglehold on school environments
